Royal Mail Hazardous LQDG 

To use the LQDG template (Do not Fly banner) the customer must provide the hazmat element in their API request. 

  • The customer must have 'LQD' in their OBA contracts

  • The service used in the shipment request must be allowed to create hazardous shipment - Check the MDF to confirm this

  • The PC District and PC Sector of the destination postcode must support hazardous shipments - Check MDF to confirm these

  • The total shipment weight must not exceed the LQDG Max Weight limit - Check MDF weight limitation against the LQDG column

  • The UN codes must match the list of approved UN codes - Approved UN codes
  • Supported Hazmat Classes

    2.1 Flammable gas (for example butane)
    2.2 Non-flammable and non-toxic gases which could cause asphyxiation (for example nitrogen, helium, carbon dioxide) or oxidisers (for example oxygen)

    3 Flammable liquids (for example lighter fluid, petrol)
    4.1 Flammable solids, self-reactive substances and solid desensitised explosives
