The difference between a CN22 & CN23 label

What is a CN22 label?

The CN22 is a customs form used when sending gifts and goods abroad worth less than or equal to £135 with Royal Mail. The CN22 will apply exclusively to cross-border and importer services when the shipment is under or equal to £135 and has a maximum of 4 items in the parcel. The label is formatted as a 6x4 label, with the top half displaying a 3x4 domestic label and the bottom half featuring the CN22 customs form.

This is a fully automated process and driven by what the customer puts as a parcel value and how many items are within that shipment.

What is a CN23 label?

The CN23 is a customs form used when sending gifts and goods abroad worth more than £135 with Royal Mail. The CN23 label applies to cross-border and import services when the shipment  created is more than £135 and/or has more than 4 items within the parcel, as well as all the other cross-border services no matter of the shipment value and number of items. You would always receive this as a separate label together with the 6x4 domestic label.

This is a fully automated process and driven by what the customer puts as a parcel value and how many items are within that shipment.
