UPS - Customer Onboarding Steps

Great to hear that you would like to use UPS through Intersoft. This article covers everything you need to start the integration.

  • Services and Service Enhancements – a list of all of the carrier’s services and service enhancements available through Intersoft.
  • Useful Information – details on field requirements, available features etc.
  • Onboarding Form – once you are ready to progress, please share a completed form with the Onboarding Team. We will need a separate one for each of the accounts you hold with the carrier and intend to use.

ONBOARDING STEPS
STEP 1 – You must hold an existing account with UPS.

STEP 2 – To get all the details for the Onboarding Form, please:

  • Register online - HERE 
  • Capture your login User ID and Password. If you are logging in using your email address rather than User ID please go to to Profile Overview > My Information > Change Login Settings to find it.

  • Request an access key by logging into your online account and clicking on “Request an access key” - this is where you can get Access Key / Access Licence Number.

    The first two fields of the Get Started tab need to be filled as per below:
    I need an access key because - I was informed by a software vendor that I need an access key
    Software/Vendor Name - Intersoft

STEP 3 – Please fill the Onboarding Form and share it with the Onboarding Team at onboarding@intersoft.co.uk.

STEP 4 – Intersoft will then set up the integration.

STEP 5 – Once everything is set up:
  • Scenario A: Intersoft’s new customer - Customer to create a set of test labels for the services they intended to use and share them with Intersoft together with the manifest.
    Intersoft to share them with the carrier for sign off.
  • Scenario B: Intersoft’s existing customer - no sign off required.
