Royal Mail - Commercial Clearance

Customers prepare commercial customs data/paperwork to their independent customs brokers specification. This has no implication on RM. Items will be prepared by the shipping customer as if they were domestic using domestic labels and providing domestic spec data. The key difference to domestic is that RM have different product codes to domestic customers.

To develop everything correctly, make sure to adhere to the following requirements:

Sender’s Address

Return Address

UK based, depending on the Sender’s Address sent in the createShipmentRequest or set to default on our system. More on this can be found here.

Requirements 

Domestic shipments requirements as per our API specs.

Manifest – Royal Mail Sales Order Summary

Printed version to be handed over to the driver at the point of parcel collection

Royal Mail Sign Off

Required – physical labels only, where you will be requested to create couple of labels, manifest them and ship them to Royal Mail.
