# Royal Mail Importers - Freight to Post API Requirements

If you are shipping internationally with Royal Mail or importing the goods from other countries please ensure to provide below details.  
**Please note:** these requirements are Royal Mail specific, in addition to Intersoft mandatory fields.

| **SECTION NAME** | **DETAILS REQUIRED** |
| --- | --- |
| **Shipper Section** | \<shipperCompanyName\> \<shipperContactName\> - this must be individual person's name, not company name. \<shipperAddressLine1\> \<shipperCountryCode\> \<shipperCity\> \<shipperPostCode\> \<shipperPhoneNumber\> \<shipperEmailAddress\> |
| **Destination Section** | \<destinationCompanyName\> - highly recommended. \<destinationAddressLine1\> \<destinationCity\> \<destinationPostCode\> \<destinationContactName\> \<destinationCountryCode\> \<destinationPhoneNumber\> \<destinationEmailAddress\> - mandatory for all Cross Border / Import services, both Freight 2 Post and Commercial Clearance |
| **Shipment Information Section** | \<declaredCurrencyCode\> \<declaredValue\> \<descriptionOfGoods\> \<totalWeight\> |
| **Item Information Section** | \<itemNetWeight\> \<itemValue\> \<itemQuantity\> \<itemDescription\> \<itemCOO\> - mandatory for international shipments. Highly recommended when using Commercially Cleared route. \<itemHsCode\> |
| **Customs Information Section** | \<shippingCharges\> - please make sure to populate it either with the exact amount the end customer was charged for shipping or with "0" if the shipping was for free. |
