DHL Express - Customer Onboarding Steps

Great to hear that you would like to use DHL Express through Intersoft. This article covers everything you need to start the integration.

  • Services and Service Enhancements – a list of all of the carrier’s services and service enhancements available through Intersoft.
  • Useful Information – details on field requirements, available features etc.
  • Onboarding Form – once you are ready to progress, please share a completed form with the Onboarding Team. We will need a separate one for each of the accounts you hold with the carrier and intend to use.

ONBOARDING STEPS
STEP 1 – Customer will first have an active account with DHL Express.

STEP 2 – Please fill the Onboarding Form and share it with the Onboarding Team at onboarding@intersoft.co.uk.

We have an agreed fast track onboarding process with the carrier where no sign off is required when shipping from GB.
Please note: it may still be required when shipping from other countries.

Credentials provided in the Onboarding Form should be live credentials. Please familiarise yourself with the below details on how to get them.

All related documentation is available on the DHL Developer Portal which can be found on the DHL Express - XML page. Customers can now register as a user, they can then use the link dhl-express-xml-api-on-boarding to request sandpit and production credentials when approved.
Customers will be able to populate their details by selecting “I require credentials to DHL Express – MyDHL API for an existing plugin/ecommerce platform/third-party solution” . They can then advise which solution they will be using. This will then be passed directly to DHL so they can make sure the agreed efficient onboarding process is followed.

If customers are existing DHL Express XML users integrated using XML and have registered via the XML Portal in the past, they can follow the below steps to manage their existing SiteID and related credentials:

  1. Reset your password by entering the same email address you've registered with on the XML Portal in the past. If resetting your password fails, as an alternative, please register as a new user with the same email address. Once registered, your existing XML Credentials (SiteID) will be mapped to your account.
  2. Login using your email address and new password on the DHL Developer Portal.
  3. Your XML Credentials (SiteID) have been migrated and linked to your portal identity. To show credentials please click on the “person" icon

If the customer experiences any issues accessing the DHL API Developer Portal or retrieving the existing SiteID credentials, they can contact our Customer Facing IT Team on cfituk@dhl.com.

STEP 3 – Intersoft will then set up the integration on both - Sandbox and Production.

STEP 4 – Once everything is set up - customer to create couple of test labels and manifest using the Sandbox account - this is for Intersoft's purpose only.

STEP 5 – Once labels and data verified by Intersoft - READY TO SHIP!
