The Clean Sweep is the functionality that automatically runs the shipment closeout process on set days and times. Shipments closed out via Clean Sweep will automatically be closed and manifested by the system, and electronic data files for the shipment (e.g. price-advice files) will be generated and sent to the carrier.
It should be used just as a backup in case the closeout is not carried out for whatever reason.
Please be aware Clean Sweep is not designed to replace the actual production of the Collection Manifest and does not include Max Sort or Zone Sort services.
Clean Sweep functionality:
- Clean Sweep automatically completes the end of day manifesting process to send the data to the Royal Mail
- It will run on daily basis including weekends unless advised otherwise
- Time for Clean Sweep can be set up to meet the customer needs or linked to a default time (if your last collection by Royal Mail is 8:00pm we could set it for 7:55pm as an example)
- Clean Sweep will close out all shipments booked on the day or any previous days
- Once the Clean Sweep is completed you would not be able manifest those shipments again, you will also not be able to cancel any of those items
