EU customs changes

These changes will take effect from . This ensures compliance with new EU customs rules and helps prevent delays or rejected shipments.
The Type 3 pre-advice file structure now includes these identifiers to capture item-level data more accurately, if populated.
Royal Mail international label template updates
All Royal Mail international label templates have been updated to consistently display “Postage paid GB”, ensuring consistency with Royal Mail requirements and approved label formats.
New Royal Mail international formats
The Intelligent Shipper API specification now includes the following new Royal Mail international formats in addition to the existing ones:
- M – Medium Parcel
- X – Large Parcel
- T – Tube
- B – Boxable
This change ensures customers can use the correct serviceFormat codes when creating shipments, avoiding errors or inconsistencies.

New tracking event
A new tracking event Delivered to Sender - UDTS has been introduced in the Intelligent Shipper tracking specification to replace incorrect “Delivered” updates for returned shipments. This ensures customers can clearly see when an item was returned, avoiding confusion and improving tracking accuracy.
