Royal Mail Combined Label and CN22 Added for Low Value Shipments
A new Royal Mail label type has been added for the Combined Label and CN22. The combined label format will only be used for cross-border and import services. This label type is valid for low-value shipments with a value of 135 GBP or less. The new label is produced as a 6x4 sized label, with the top half consisting of a 3x4 sized tracked domestic label image and the bottom half consisting of the CN22 form.
Customers creating shipment using one of the applicable services, and if the shipment value is not in GBP, IShipper will automatically convert the shipment value to GBP. This ensures accurate assessment of the shipment value and determines whether a combined label and CN22 form should be used. This enhancement streamlines the shipping process by eliminating the need for manual currency conversion, providing a more seamless experience.
Windsor Framework Implementation
- New Field Added in Create Shipment Request - To comply with the new Windsor Framework requirements, IShipper create shipment request has been updated with a new field ‘businessTransactionType’ to differentiate between B2C and B2B shipments from Great Britain (GB) to Northern Ireland (NI). If this field is not populated, it will default to B2C. Therefore, customers shipping B2B to Northern Ireland must update their integration with IShipper to indicate us that the shipment is B2B. This field will be exclusive to version 1.7 and will not be applied to previous API versions.
- EVRI Integration Changes - As part of the Windsor Framework compliance, the Evri integration has been updated to meet new customs requirements for shipments from Great Britain to Northern Ireland. Since Evri does not support B2B shipments, the system has been designed to return an error message if a customer has created an Evri shipment with a businessTransactionType of B2B. No changes have been made for B2C shipments, as the existing integration has already met the necessary requirements.
