[DPD](https://kb.intersoft.co.uk/carriers?hsLang=en#dpd) # DPD - Useful information To progress with the DPD setup you must first be registered with the carrier and held a registered account with EDI Solution. **EDI Solution **is the connection between Intersoft and DPD. Even if you are an existing DPD customer, you should still contact your account manager to request to register for EDI solution. For further information visit the [following link](https://www.dpd.co.uk/content/about_dpd/technology.jsp) and click on Shipping Solution.  --- **Field Requirements:** | **Intersoft Intelligent Shipper® Field Name** | **Carrier Requirement** | | --- | --- | | Item HS Code | Mandatory for Dutiable shipments | | Item Country of Origin | Mandatory for Dutiable shipments | | Shipper VAT Number and Shipper EORI Number | Must be provided for dutiable shipments if the shipper is VAT or EORI registered. If VAT and EORI are both provided, only VAT number will be sent to DPD. If neither VAT or EORI number are provided, a value of “GBUNREG” will be sent to DPD to indicate the shipper is not VAT or EORI registered. | | Pre-Registration Number with a Pre-Registration Type of GST | Mandatory for shipments to Australia only | **Service Enhancements -** available**.** If you would like to use any of the enhancements, please first speak to your DPD account manager to confirm which of them are available for the services that you would like to be using. To utilise this within Intelligent Shipper, you would need to add Enhancement Service Code field to your file / API request, followed by a specific code. | **Service Enhancement** | **Intersoft Enhancement Service Code** | **Supporting Data Required** | **Business Rules / Constraints** | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Proof of Identity | DPDID | N/A | Only one of these enhancements can be used per shipment. | | Proof of Age | DPDAGE | N/A | | | Pin Required | DPDPIN | Receiver email address or Receiver mobile phone number  | Only one of the available enhancements can be used per shipment. Either receiver email address or receiver mobile phone number must be provided so that the Pin can be sent to the receiver by email or SMS. If neither are available, DPD will fail delivery of the shipment at the doorstep.    | | Pin Required & Proof of Age | DPDPINPOA | Receiver email address or Receiver mobile phone number  | | **Multipiece shipments -** available. **Hazardous Materials** - not available. **Incoterms** - DAP, DDP **Please note: **The incoterm DT1 is not a valid incoterm as it is DPD specific. If the request for DPD is sent with DDP incoterm, it will be passed as DT1 to the carrier. If the request is sent with DAP incoterm, it will be passed as DAP to the carrier. **Paperless Trade** - data is automatically electronically sent to customs behind the scenes. **Delivery Instructions** - available. To utilise this within Intelligent Shipper, you would need to add Delivery Instructions field to your file / API request, followed by the delivery instruction text, e.g., "Leave in the garage".
